Yosemite National Park is — until further notice — closed to the general public. As there is clearly still a collective yearning to hit the trail, we thought we would bring you this serene slice of Yosemite Creek. This small secluded pool is about three clicks (or kilometers) from Upper Yosemite Falls, and offers that natural isolation that is as refreshing as the cool drinkable water flowing through Yosemite Creek. I have always made it a point to get away from the touristy masses that seem to congregate at the trailheads, easier-to-reach locations, and national park buildings.
In Yosemite, like most of the National Parks in the United States, there are plenty of I-really-don’t-want-to-interact-with-another-human moments like these. All that is required is a healthy dose of grit and maybe a sandwich.
For now, if you head over to our 360 gallery – you can see this (and many other social distancing moments) for yourself. They can be easily viewed on a Google cardboard device, or just as easily be viewed on a laptop, desktop, or even your smartphone.
